Birthday is a song I wrote in anticipation of a friend’s birthday. I was driving home from a gig in Truckee over Donner Pass on I-80 when I got the idea and wrote the whole song while driving. Writing isn’t exactly the word… More like scribbling while not looking at the paper. It was done by the time I got home. I didn’t hit anything. The angels were smiling for me.
